Snapchat, which got Millennials and Gen Z hooked from the start, has made its way to becoming more than just a fun social app.
Along with Facebook, Google, and Instagram, Snapchat has proven to be another social media platform that businesses can utilize and make a profit.
As of Q1 2020, there are 229 million daily active Snapchat users worldwide. That means 229 million people that you can turn into buyers.
With the right marketing strategy and well-executed ads, Snapchat can be an effective way to market your Shopify dropshipping business.
In this article, you’ll learn how to install and set up Snapchat Ads Pixel.
Keep reading to see how to implement Snapchat into your marketing strategy and boost your sales.
What Are Snapchat Ads?
Like how Instagram works, the two main Snapchat ad types you can choose from to advertise your Shopify dropshipping store and products are Snapchat video ads and Snapchat Story ads.
Snapchat video ads are vertical videos between 3 to 10 seconds long and can be found when scrolling through Snapchat Stories on the “Discover” tab within the app.
Snapchat video ads usually play on a loop until the user moves to the next Story. Since you have your audience’s attention then and there, this is a great place to add in a CTA (call-to-action).
A CTA is a button you see at the end of any landing page, marketing email, and help convert within campaigns or otherwise. “Buy Now,” “Join Today,” or simply “GET” like in the example below.
The difference between Snapchat Ads and Story Ads is that Story Ads are exclusive to the Discover feed, offering advertisers the chance to purchase a Discover tile that includes three to ten Snaps.
Anyone viewing a Story ad can swipe up to see more content from the advertiser, like a product site, video or app install.
Users will need to tap on them to engage with them actively. These are the window-like sections shown in the image below.
